Warehouse / Processing Operator 2nd Shift
(2:30 pm until 11:00 pm)

From the beekeepers that produce the raw honey to our state-of-the-art production facility everything is in place to produce significant volumes of world class honey and honey products for worldwide consumption.

Midlands Apiaries are the ‘total honey solution provider’ part of Midland Holdings Limited, an established group of businesses who take immense pride in providing quality products and services derived from the arable industry. 

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an exceptional individual to join our production team based in Ashburton. Due to recent rapid expansion and long-term growth plans we will be beginning a second shift in our honey production factory which will run from 2:30 pm until 11:00 pm Monday to Friday. 

 

The role of Warehouse/ Processing Operator is an important one!  We have a lot going on at once so we are looking for people who thrive in a fast-paced environment, have excellent attention to detail and numeracy skills, and who can remain calm under pressure. You’ll be a team player who works well with others to complete tasks and achieve goals.

This role will have responsibility for the efficient running of the processing room and supporting warehouse activities for the second shift ensuring that ensuring that all machinery operation is carried out to the highest standards will also be a vital part of the role.

Our ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate the following skills and experience:

  • Previous experience in a manufacturing environment
  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy
  • Previous experience driving and operating a forklift
  • Mechanical/ Engineering aptitude
  • Good levels of communication
  • Ability to organise and co-ordinate activities in a busy environment
  • Proficient computer skills
  • Ability to work under pressure with minimal supervision
  • Understanding/experience in continuous improvement
  • The ability to contribute to and foster our Health and Safety culture
  • Ensuring final product quality standards are maintained to continue delivery of the highest quality product to the customer.
